MIKE'S ICE ADVICE

Recently, I had a neighbour of mine call me and needed my opinion on a subject that was eating him and his family up. How I came to know him was he bought a set of TURBO STRIPS from me for his 8 year old son( for those curious, please visit trbostrips.com)I told him if he needed some guidance for his son please do not hesitate and I will help him with my honest opinion on the subject.

His question to me was, my son is playing in the U9 select system a tryouts for U10 are fast approaching. He was told by somebody who was obviously recruiting for a U10 team that if your son doesn’t come to our team now and play this year then he will never get the opportunity to play TRIPLE AAA in the future. I told him that the guy was full of SHIT. You don’t need to subject your son to the wolves this early in his developement. Furthermore, whether you want to believe it or not most of those U10 teams will already be selected from the kids playing in the KLEVR league.

This is an example of the “BAD INFORMATION” that exists. People trying to take advantage of kids and their parents for no reason onther than $$. Please be cautious with early decisions and avoid being trapped into an expensive situation. As I have said many times, we all LOVE our kids, but at the same time we need to be OBJECTIVE!!
